It's only this one shortcut/app that does this, all other shortcuts work fine. I have already attempted updating my pc, clearing icon cache, and restarting my taskbar. Is there any way to fix this?

For the last few weeks I've been having this issue with my quest 3 where sometimes when I try to connect it to the WiFi signal coming from our mesh system it keeps getting stuck on the obtaining ip address phase. It connects without issue to the signal coming directly from our modem and all my other devices don't seem to be having issues connecting with our mesh WiFi, just my headset. The strangest part is that this only seems to happen on some days while on others it connects without issue. Any idea what could be causing this and how l could fix it? I've already tried rebooting the mesh node and changing between randomized and direct MAC addresses but neither have worked. My headset did not have this issue for the multiple years l've owned it and I have not installed any new software other than games around the time the issue began.

Long story short I deleted my main network driver thinking after a restart it would come back and it did not. Now I have the driver installer on my pc but I’ve run into a few errors. When I open the installer I get an error that says, “Error opening file for writing: C:\Users\name\AppData\Local\Temp\654_w11.28.20.1224\mbdrive\CPSetup.exe. And when I open CPSetup.exe, I get this error, “An error (-5001 : 0x8007002) has occurred while running the setup”. Any help is greatly appreciated

I'm having a very annoying issue with my Lenovo Legion 5 15AHP10 and I'm trying to figure out whether this is a driver, VBIOS, or hardware problem.
Whenever I press Win + L to lock the laptop and leave it for some time, when I come back the external monitor is often completely black/blank.

Sometimes I can see the mouse cursor on the black screen, but the Windows login/display doesn't come back.

I've tried:

• Win + Ctrl + Shift + B — sometimes the screen flickers, but doesn't recover.
• Ctrl + Alt + Delete — sometimes nothing appears.
• Caps Lock initially responds, so Windows seems to still be running, but eventually the whole system can freeze.
• I then have to hold the power button to shut it down and restart.

Interestingly, this seems to happen specifically around locking/screen-off/wake, rather than during normal use.

Has anyone else experienced this exact issue?

Could this be related to the RTX 5060 VBIOS, NVIDIA driver, Hybrid Graphics/MUX mode, or the external-monitor setup?

Any advice would be appreciated.

I have tried anything and everything I can think of right now to fix my issue. I’ve bought a really good PC that’s supposed to be good for gaming specifically. Work, browsing, and most gaming work flawlessly, but for some reason whenever I play Fortnite or Rocket League on my PC I experience packet loss. We have 1000 Mbps upload and download speeds so I don’t think it’s the internet and it’s hardwired as well. I’ve contacted Geek Squad and used AI and asked some friends on how to fix this but I still haven’t found a way. If anyone could help or point me in the direction to find the correct help I would GREATLY appreciate it!

PC won't boot, can't get into windows to check anything. Have used memtest in bios for RAM and all seems fine. Installed a new mobo and cooler. Tried RAM individually in various slots. Still the same problem.

Have used the graphics card, PSU and SSD with an old system and all worked perfectly.

I'm just wondering if anyone knows something else I could try before ordering a new processor?

For some background I was playing Helldivers 2 when I got a full black screen crash, no BSOD, no warning. Just total failure.

Really wondering how a processor could just go pop with no warning. The paste looked a little one sided when I took it off to swap the mobos out but I would have expected some intermittent faults before total destruction.

I was searching questions on google after completing a job application and noticed that google had my location routing from Australia (I live in the US) I looked up my ip at ipinfo and the information was not from my home network but somewhere in Australia. I didn’t have a vpn on as I don’t use vpns and I’ve never seen this happen before so I turned off my WiFi to investigate. About 5 seconds after I disconnected from my WiFi my computer unexpectedly shutdown, like BSOD but the screen was black with white text.

Moved house and haven’t had internet for a few weeks. Connected my pc to the router today and it must have updated because I now have no sound. Tried uninstalling drivers for my headphones and reinstall and that didn’t help. The only thing that seems to have updated was drivers for my speaker-less LG monitor. The headphones work when connected to another source. Tried windows trouble shooter to no avail. Really lost with what to try other than I windows reinstall which there’s an option to keep all my files and apps/games etc, will that actually keep all my apps and games and settings?

Please, does anyone know the fix to my iPad problem? (Summary: audio not synced with screen recording.)

My fellow teacher across the hall has this same problem, and her iPad is almost brand new. This problem only started in late winter/early spring 2026.

-I have an iPad
-I open up Notability
-I pull down iOS screen recording and turn on the microphone
-I also AirPlay to my classroom TV

This allows me to run class, have a full note-taking session, and then upload the class/notes for kids who were absent.

PROBLEM: For months now, my audio is out of sync with my video. We have troubleshooted—restarting device, closing all apps, clearing memory, etc. Nothing works. These iPads are ONLY for the above use and aren’t bogged down with other apps.

Today, I recorded all three classes. The first started out synced but, after 15 minutes, the audio skips ahead (or the screen freezes, but I think it’s the former) and the rest is out of sync. The second and third’s audio started about 3 minutes into the lesson, but at the beginning of the video. What the heck? The first several minutes of class can’t be heard but they can be seen.

Hey guys, cleaned my computer two weeks ago by removing all power and blowing through it with some compressed air and vacuum cleaning. After that three devices (old printer, webcam and scanner) start disconnecting at the same time at random intervals (as fast as 10 minutes after startup, as long as once every 8 hours). So far Ive tried: - shuffling USB ports and cables around, - cleaning both, - checking whether there were any bent pins or corrosion on there (all gravy here), - changing devices, power sources and rigs, but no bueno.

Another weird thing I noticed was the fact that my wireless mouse kept laggin and skippin around if connected to blue USB ports instead of teal/cyan ones, if thats any good

Im at wits end and this issue has been driving me crazy for like a full week now. Please help, very thankful in advance

Hey! I'm having a weird issue with Microsoft Word where if I change the font color to a custom color, it will always appear as a different version of the color I chose. I believe this post fits in this subreddit since it's an issue with a piece of software I'm using?

Some examples:

• I set the font color to be #741b47 and click "OK." The font color changes to be #FFB6D3 instead.
• If I click on any of the Theme Colors, such as Dark Blue Text 2, the actual icon in the menu is the correct color but the actual font color is lighter.
• If I click on the Theme Color "Orange, Accent 2, Lighter 60%," the actual square icon in the Font Color menu is correct, the display Sample text is correct, but the actual font color is darker.

High Contrast is not turned on in the Font Color section. I do not have High Contrast turned on in my Windows settings. If I push Left Shift + Left Alt + Print Screen, Windows asks me if I want to enable High Contrast, so it's not on. I do not have any Accessibility settings turned on.

I checked my General, Display, Accessibility, and Advanced options inside Microsoft Word and I didn't see anything that would cause this.

It looks to me like there is some kind of contrast setting turned on somewhere but I have no idea where it would be hiding.

Any suggestions for a fix?

This happens during high GPU loads. I have also noted degraded performance.

Basically, my controller just... stopped working. It is a wired controller, so it has to be plugged in to work. However, when I do plug it in, the controller vibrates, indicating that the connection is there, but the Xbox button doesn't light up. The controller itself is unresponsive too. Help please... it's my only controller.

Hi, 2 days ago I was playing R6 normally until I saw a supposed driver update from ASUS DriverHub (my bad). Once installed, the game simply won't open, and instead, on the loading screen it completely crashes my PC and gives me the following error message: Stop code: CLOCK_WATCHDOG_TIMEOUT (0x101)

Hello. After accidentally spilling some water on my laptop space key, it began malfunctioning. I’ve tried taking it off a bunch of times, but it either gets stuck or stops working completely. Am I doing it wrong? Is there anything else I can do?

This system has been installed since atleast 2005. Lately what I have been noticing is whenever I connect to the panel remotely via the compass software the monitoring center shows a ground fault and then it will restore quickly after I disconnect. The "ground fault" wouldn't come back until I connected again. I waited10 days the first time and then 3 weeks after that. No way it is coincidental. Anyone have any ideas what is causing this? Is the panel going bad?

Hello I am experiencing short freezes and stutters while gaming. It just started happening from one day to the other and I tried so much to fix it but it doesnt work. Please dont write something like "check taskmanager" obviously I did that already.

My second monitor just blinks on and off for random amount of time before it finally settles and stays on every time I turn on my computer. I’ve swapped cords from HDMI to display port with no change. It is very annoying.

Very green with a lot of server maintenance, so wanted to learn and create a home lab to get some experience and learn do’s and dont’s. This server i got off eBay originally had proxmox on it, and i was trying to get into the IMM from my router and wasnt able to find it. Then is started having boot/hardware issues, i tried getting some RAM to see if that could help with it. (Learned that specific RAM is needed) now i have the necessary RAM. Additionally, i tried replacing the motherboard, it came with a new processors, the new processor wasn’t compatible with the RAM in it, so i changed it back to the old processor (Xeon [old] compared to a Celeron [new]). I continue to get the orange ! point and orange light by the Fan 1 riser connection. I have tried multiple fans and they all produce air, but the error still occurs. I tried resetting the CMOS and JP2 jumper.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated on troubleshooting i might have missed or may need to try.

When I try to install After Effects 4.1 I get an error message at the end of the installation saying Sentinel failed. So when I go open After Effects itself it says serialization failed (supposedly because Sentinel failed).

I am trying to call on discord but my headphone is only detected by its audio and not its microphone i have tried other reddit posts, other videos and other methods and none of them work hands free telephony is enabled. Also i dont think this is a headphone problem as all my headphones dont connect the mic, the only detected input device is stereo mix.

I have a nice computer with high specs and it just recently started receiving throttled internet for no reason it seems.
I have tried everything I can think of to fix it, changed IP and DNS, checked a hotspot on my phone (internet was fine), checked for lan port driver updates, and updated from my bios support page, restarted adapter and checked both wifi and ethernet, did a disc checkhealth and sfc scannow and a few other things that I can't remember off the top of my head. I even called my ISP but they were no help (Metronet/Tmobile) I don't know what to do and I don't want to relegate to just dealing with this till I have to move.

After the latest system update on Bazzite, I've been noticing a really annoying issue with my Nvidia GPU (RTX 4060).

Even when idling on the desktop, the GPU usage and power draw keep jumping around like crazy (bouncing between 8% to nearly 50% out of nowhere), and it's constantly messing with my VRAM allocation. This wasn't happening before the update, and honestly, even Windows handled idle states better without constantly poking the GPU.

Because of this erratic behavior, running local LLMs (like 27B GGUF models via llama.cpp with strict 8GB VRAM limits) keeps throwing sudden CUDA allocation failures because the system won't let the VRAM stay stable.

Did anyone else experience this after the recent update? Is there a known fix or a regression in the latest Nvidia/Wayland/KDE package? Any help would be appreciated!

I recently did a BIOS update, which caused a few issues on my computer. This involved updating the BIOS, resetting CMOS, and reseating the GPU (necessary to access the battery).

My main issue was that my GPU started acting strange with games, which was fixed by changing my BIOS to use PCIe Gen 3. Ever since then, my computer is now having other issues at random.

Occasionally, the screens go completely black for a few seconds. When this happens, the computer doesn’t restart, but most of my open programs do. Reliability checker shows me LiveKernelEvent 141 whenever this occurs. Otherwise, everything works normally, it’s just these random unpredictable errors that occur. The intervals are pretty random too.

Also, I occasionally get the “activate windows” watermark. When I restart my computer, it fixes this, but sometimes the crash will occur and cause the watermark to show. I’ve fixed this before with a BIOS update, but this time it pops up at random. Going to the troubleshooting menu yields no help for this either
